The DiVA Project

Funded by the NSF, the purpose of DiVA is to develop infrastructure that will be used to capture and analyze video data.  The grant is part of the Major Research Instrumentation Program (MRI) and provides for  the acquisition and implementation of DV capturing and analysis infrastructure over a three-year period.  The MRI program serves to increase access to shared tools and infrastructure for research and research training.
NSF
This lab will provide research experiences for undergraduate and graduate students in multiple disciplines using leading-edge tools and techniques as well. This lab will also provide instructional computing resources for SOE educational activities, with priority being given to providing support to projects included in this 3 year grant, and any other research activities that capture, code, transcribe and analyze DV data

This grant has added to the project the building of significant administrative and support capacity within the School of Education technology support apparatus. We are including training, hardware, and software to streamline the administration and maintenance of the computer labs (Apple Remote Desktop 3.3), and loaning software (Check In/Out Organizer Pro, v2.2) to facilitate and regulate inventory and access to equipment.
