This course explores assistive technologies (AT) for learners with disabilities and their implementation potential in and beyond classroom. In addition, we will explore how the use of assistive technologies has the potential to improve learning experiences for all students. The class will be offered in hybrid format, with face-to-face, online, and hands-on activities including interactive and practical usage of assistive technology software and devices. Students will learn about available assistive technology devices and software that help improve communication, literacy, physical access, mobility, or computer access and that can assist learners with diverse needs.
